Kudan Inc. (headquarters in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO Daiu Ko, hereafter \u201cKudan\u201d), a global leader in advanced Artificial Perception (AP) technology, is pleased to announce that its proprietary technology will be featured on the \u201cBex\u201d, a quadruped robot by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (hereafter, Kawasaki Heavy Industries).<\/p>\n

The quadruped robot will be displayed at Kawasaki Heavy Industries\u2019 exhibition booth at the 2024 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation<\/a> (IEEE ICRA 2024), which will be held from Monday, 13 May to Friday, 17 May 2024. The robot will be equipped with Kudan's Mobile Robot Development Kit<\/a> (MRDK), which uses Kudan's proprietary SLAM algorithm-based AP technology to understand the surrounding environment and perform 3D mapping and localization in real-time.<\/p>\n

Integrating Kawasaki Heavy Industries\u2019 robot development technology with Kudan's AP technology will promote its potential usage as an autonomous solution to contribute to labour shortages and productivity improvements in various industries. In particular, it is targeted to solve a variety of social problems and create value, such as the transport of goods, inspection, surveying and measurement, and other work assistance in various environments, including construction sites, rough terrain, and disaster sites.<\/p>\n
