(headquarters in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO Akira Matsushima).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SEAOS provides digitized logistics for the use of the IoT, AI and robots by a broad range of major corporations, while Kudan specializes in AP (artificial perception) technology, which plays a vital role in allowing machinery and AI to conduct three-dimensional spatial perception and perform actions based on this input.<\/p>\n<p>The so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution, centered upon artificial intelligence, the IoT and robotics, is positioned as one of the state\u2019s core strategic focuses by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications\u2019 white paper on telecommunications. Anticipated to provide added value of 30 to 40 trillion yen to Japanese industry, examples within the field of logistics include AGVs (automated guided vehicles) used in factories and warehouses. Until now, however, in order for AGVs to operate safely and automatically within such structures, guidance measures such as magnetic tape needed to be used so that these machines could perceive their surroundings.
