It\u2019s a demo for now, but we can\u2019t wait to see this type of experience in all cars in the future - not just for human drivers, but autonomous vehicles as well.<\/p>\n<p>The test vehicle is equipped with a simple GNSS receiver, and a stereo-inertial camera system, and uses map data and simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) technology to understand and navigate through its environment, and create this powerful visualization.<\/p>\n<p>NNG, creator of next-generation navigation experiences, using map information from HERE Technologies, and the intelligent lane level 6DoF (degrees-of-freedom) positioning capabilities from Artisense, showed off their eye-opening demo in a real road and highway scenario.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Highlights<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u25cfCollaboration among three leaders in their field: NNG (navigation experience), HERE (map information), and<br \/>\nArtisense (6DoF location and positioning through SLAM)<\/p>\n<p>\u25cfSimple low-cost hardware solution utilizing only a stereo-inertial camera, and a standard GNSS receiver.<br \/>\nNo INS or Lidar.
